End user issue: Connect page loads but the presentation does not start

We have stood up another domain and are trying to get users into meetings from the new domain. The user can get to the Connect server and see all the regular pages but when they click on a meeting the flash widget launches like it is going to start, the widget loads but then it just sits there in its initializing state. Our users on our parent domain have no problems getting to the meetings and using all the tools, viewing the meeting, ect... We also have access to another Connect server, again on a seperate network/domain that has no issues.

At this point I would think it is a protocol/port number issue that is not allowing the flash player to communicate with the server, we have checked the firewall logs and do not see any blocked or failed warnings relating to the service, we have tried this with 10 different computers on the child domain and it is the same thing on every one.

Also from the main page in Connect before getting into a meeting you can test your settings which we have done a few 100 times now and everytime it is able to verify we have the most current version of the flash player but then it is not able to connect to the server.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Enable the debugging for the Connect add-in. It may give you some additional details on what's happening from the end-user standpoint.

sounds like a port issue to me.  make sure 1935 is open.

Re: End user issue: Connect page loads but the presentation does not start

That's also a good suggestion. Have the users take the port test to see what they can get to..
