Cannot enter a meeting, stuck in "Connecting" state

Hi,

I've installed the server and all seems to work fluently concerning the web administration page.

However, everytime I want to access a meeting directly from my user administration meeting page, I'm stucked in Adobe popup stating "Connecting" while going into my meeting

Any clue on this ?

Take a look at your debug.log files and see if it gives you any error messages. That would be the first place to start.

I'm new to Adobe Connect so I did not have the right order of steps !

If you restart your server (and or Connect services) are you able to access those meetings at all?

Is this C7 SP1 or C7?

I tried to restart the server but still the same issue. We are on C7 SP1

Seems to be a database problem with the log but can't figure out how to correct it

I'd contact Adobe support and see what they can do to help with fixing the DB.  Please let us know what they tell you.

rmtp port 1935 must be open before Connect will connect ;-)

I had a similar issue with one room we could not open. I contacted Adobe support and they provided me a hotfix to fix the problem. I will be installing it tonight at 11pm CST. I will report the results.

We are running 7sp1.

Cory - I think the issue you are experiencing is different than the one the OP posted. Did you also see the same entries in the debug.log ? Or did you see a different error ?

I've had this same "connecting" issue. It doesnt happen all the time just here and there but starting to become more frequently. The only thing I can do to temp fix it is reboot the server.

Where are the debug logs?

I'm running Connect Pro 701_r18

Anyone have any ideas?

Try creating meeting add-in logs. Create a file mms.cfg inside C:\windows\system32 and in the file name type in the following:

PlayerLogging = 1
SingleLogFile=0

Save this file and now start the meeting room.
A log file with the name connectaddin-(date).log will be created under My Documents.
Send the log from this file and this will give you a clear idea.

Also check that you should have the following columns in the PPS_USER_SESSIONS table

SESSION_ID USER_ID SESSION_COOKIE DATE_CREATED IP_ADDRESS NAME CHALLENGE DISABLED

If any of the columns is missing then we have to create that in order to get it worked

I created the mms.cfg file but I'm not sure how to check for that PPS_USER_SESSIONS table. How do I do that? I assume that's in the DB but I could see anyway to look at the DB on the server.

As a side not, and I'm not sure if this is related or not. No matter how many times my users install the addin everytime we login to rooms it asks us to install again. Not sure if that's a IE thing, Flash  or a Server Config.

As far as add-in installation is concern ask your users to login to the Connect Pro. Click on Home and then Click on Resources. Now in the first quadrant Getting Started Click on the Open link and it will open another window. Click on windows under on the First option. See below

(Install Adobe Acrobat Connect Add-in for Windows or Macintosh Operating Systems. The Acrobat Connect Add-in allows you to share your screen and upload files to meetings. )

Download this add-in and save it on your desktop. Run the setup and then launch a meeting. It should not ask for install Add-in again.

In order to see the PPS_USER_SESSIONS table install Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express. Once you install it login to it either by Windows Authentication or by SQL Server authentication. Now browse to Databases>Breeze>Table>PPS_USER_SESSIONS> Right Click on it open it. You should see the table by now.

You can download Studio Express from

Scroll to bottom and download ---> SQLServer2005_SSMSEE.msi

I've taken a look at the DB and the Table PPS_USER_SESSIONS has all those columns.

Any other ideas?

I have 21187 records in that table if that makes a difference.

i don't see any connectaddin log file. It should be in C:\Docs and settings\my username\my docs?

I searched the entire c: for *.log and didnt see anything relating to Connect. My DB is stored on my E: if that makes any difference.

When you create mms.cfg file inside C:\windows\system32 the default connect-addin log file will be created in My Documents folder.

Make sure you have entered the correct values in the mms.cfg file

PlayerLogging=1
SingleLogFile=0

I finally figured out you were talking about the client machine. I was adding the log files to the server. :) Now I have my connectaddin.log file but of course I can't replicate the problem.

The next time it gets stuck I'll grab the log file and post it.

I don't  think the column is your problem. It seems like the session cookie value cannot be read or is actually null. The SQL Table just does not allow NULL values to be entered into that particular column.

I would start with explicitly allowing communication over port 1935 for both  the server and the client or if that is not possible, try configuring the RTMP protocol to go over an available port and see if the session_cookie value can be then be read.

I assume you're talking about allow traffic on that port via the firewall / router or is there some sort of config in Adobe Connect? If it was a firewall/router blocking the traffic then rebooting the server wouldn

first i created a new meeting, and no pronblem but after days or after reset services on server
i have this problem
