Video Clip in Presenter 6

I apologize if this a "duh" question:

Can I import a wmv video clip into an Adobe Presenter 6.1 presentation?

The clip plays fine in PowerPoint 2007, but when I publish locally, it doesn't play.

Appreciate your help.

Re: Video Clip in Presenter 6

Hi Jamie,

Unfortunately in Presenter 6, you cannot import a WMV video directly into the presentation.  You must first convert it to FLV (if its in the sidebar) or SWF (if its on the slide).

However, once you are able to upgrade to Presenter 7, the encoding to Flash is done automatically for you.

Hope this helps,
David

Re: Video Clip in Presenter 6

Thanks!

I found some software to convert my WMV into FLV and then FLV into SWF.

Not ideal, but it'll have to do until we have the money in our budget for the upgrade.

Thanks!

FYI you can always use www.media-convert.com as a free video conversion tool. It should do a wmv to swf conversion.
