Presenter 7 unable to import H.264 flash video format

I have been unable to import native H.264 video as advertised into Presenter 7.0.2 and was wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

The typical mp4 file formats all convetr to flv and all other H.264 flash formats fail to work in Presenter as advertised. Has anyone been able to import these files successfully and maintain their H.264 codec?

Re: Presenter 7 unable to import H.264 flash video format

i tried a h.264 import once, presenter converted the file apparently. i found in the docs that h.64 does not work in all cases.

Re: Presenter 7 unable to import H.264 flash video format

Yes. Any .mp4 seems to be converted to flv. I have seen the doc saying that not all H.264 video will import into Presenter. The pproblem is I can't find anyone who can show me any H.264 file format that will import nativly, and some of the newer releases encoding/screen capture softwares are outputting in Flash only to H.264 and no longer as flv

Re: Presenter 7 unable to import H.264 flash video format

Keep in mind that to ensure the widest possible footprint, Connect Pro meetings only require Flash Player 8 or greater.

FLV's encoded with H.264 require Flash Player 9.115 or greater to play back properly.  This means that even if you can use them in your Presenter content, if you're planning on using the content in a Connect Pro room, it will not play back properly for participants.

Re: Presenter 7 unable to import H.264 flash video format

Thanks Alistair: but I already have Flash 10. Presenter is supposed to display h.264. Flash Mp4 video are converted to flv and f4v file format does not import into Presenter.  So I am still asking if anyone can give me evidence that a H.264 file will play back in its native format from within Presenter 7.
