remote control cameras with digital output (usb)

Hi!

We have use analog remote control cameras with usb-videograppers at Connect. If you select high quality image option from the video pod, Connect cut image canvas from each edge. Aproximately only 70 % image area is shown. We sent techincal support request to Adobe with screen shots and other documentation. Adobe says that we should use remote control cameras with digital output.

Have somebody test and know suitables remote control cameras (pan, tilt, zoom and remote control) for Connect? We need these for meeting room use.

Re: remote control cameras with digital output (usb)

Hi Pertti,

We've had success using a video/audio capture card (we use the Osprey-230) and using a Sony EVI-D100, but the benefit of using a capture card is that you can use any camera with an S-video or Composite output, depending on what type of capture card you use.  You can also scale this to use your existing video conferencing system, or any other A/V systems.

There is a great tutorial the Ryan put together highlighting how to use the video capture card with Connect Pro:

Re: remote control cameras with digital output (usb)

Hi and thank you for the information. Have you test these things with high quality option selected? Allways if we choose it the quite wide area from the edges will be cut off. Our remote control camera works ok, if we use fast or slow image options.
