Teacher can't enter classroom; Gets "Install Flash Player" Messa

We're using Adobe Enterprise 6 for conversation classes. Today a teacher wasn't able to enter his classroom. Here is the administrator's description of the problem:

"Problem: Adobe blocked him from entering his classroom this morning. He was prompted to install Flash Player. He had already installed it 10 days ago. He worked successfully in TWT on Tuesday and Wednesday, but couldn't get past the Adobe prompt today.

I could not reproduce the problem. I asked the outgoing teacher if he had been prompted to install anything. No, he hadn't. No one else has mentioned it, so I guess it is a problem on John's end. I asked John to uninstall and reinstall, then shut down and restart. He said he did so, to no avail."

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Teacher can't enter classroom; Gets "Install Flash Player" Messa

What version of Flash does the Teacher have? Version 10 isn't working with some installations of Connect.

Have the person go to http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … d=tn_15507 to take a flash test. To see what version they have and if it detects it as installed.

Also have them take the port tests here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … d=tn_16466. That might determine if the ports are blocked.

If all else fails, remove and reinstall the Adobe Add in (if it is installed) and also any version of Flash from Add/Remove programs menu and reinstall. If your Connect server isn't patched for Flash Player 10 yet you will need to have them download and install Flash Player 9 from here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … &sliceId=2 of talk to your system administrator to have them work with Adobe to patch the server.

If you are technical and want to figure this out before doing all of the above you can install the debugging tool if the Connect Add-In has already been installed. you can install the logging tool here http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewCon … d=fd606fac. The file will be put into your my documents folder. It will renew every time you join a meeting, so be sure to grab the log file before re-entering.

Hope this gets you started.
