Network optimization

The Connect Pro features list includes the following statement:

Network efficiency
Because this enterprise web conferencing solution can be hosted on-premise, much of the Adobe Connect solution network load occurs on internal systems, so ASP bandwidth traffic and costs are kept to a minimum. Adobe Connect Edge Server enables the Adobe Connect solution to reduce bandwidth and improve delivery for groups in remote locations.

Can the Adobe Connect Edge Server deliver different bandwidth streams to users in the same meeting?  Some users will be sharing video and audio and I need the lower bandwidth users to have a lower frame rate while still allowing high bandwidth users a high frame rate.

How does the "Edge Server reduce bandwidth and improve delivery for groups in remote locations"?

Thank you,

Jeff

Re: Network optimization

I can't get to the webpage right now because Adobe's website is down - updates or something - but there is a tool that you can download from the Connect Exchange that will give you some control when it comes to videos.  I think it is called the Video Master.  You would probably like it.  If we played more videos, we would definately use this.  If I can get to the page I will update this with the link later today or tomorrow.

Re: Network optimization

Here is the site.  This thing costs $150, but if you are playing a lot of videos, I think it would be more than worth it.
