How do you author presentations on Macs?

Hey all.  We're in the process of creating some tutorials for our users of Connect.  We want these tutorials to be playable with Connect and on our website as well.  The obvious choice for us was to use either Captivate or Presenter.  However, we just discovered that these are PC-only (boo) and we have a few people who are on Macs.

Are there any other apps (e.g., Camtasia, ScreenFlow, etc.) that people have found useful for creating presentations that will ultimately live inside of Connect?

Have you tried creating a swf out of a Keynote Presentation and loading it to the Connect room? This is fairly common practice.

Jorma - heard anything about Cp4 being good for Mac's?

That's a good idea.  I'll definitely give that a try.  I love Keynote so that could be a great fit for us.

Look at Silke's hint here (and watch the podcast)....

I think the next version of Captivate is going to include a Mac version by the looks of things.

You may have more success exporting a PPT from Keynote instead of a SWF.

Both can be uploaded to a Connect room without issue, however the PPT will be 'synced' - meaning that when the host changes slides, the slides will change automatically for everybody else in the Connect room (including those joining late).  The SWF file will be 'unsynced' - everybody would have to advance their own slides.

Unfortunately, choosing either export option means losing some of the ultra-cool Keynote transition and animation effects.

After uploading the PPT, you can just unsync it by clicking the "Sync" button in the share window off, can't you?
