Hidden Polls gone?

I created polls in Adobe Connet 8.2.2.0 and added them to Presenter Only Area, then dragged them to the active layout. Usually when I clicked Hide, I can still locate them under the Polls list but recently after hiding/closing them in the active layout, I cannot seem to find them again. They are gone from the Poll/Manage Pods list and thus I cannot re-use them for my next meeting. Can hidden polls be restored? Does it matter whether I clicked close first or changed from open to prepare and then hid the poll window from the active layout?
