Remote areas with poor internet - Is AC a viable solution

I have a client who is looking to release mass training and virtual meetings to it's employees - some of which work in remote areas with very slow internet connections.  Recorded training in the pass was choppy, slow, and out of sync - typical of a slow download speeds.

Can Adobe Connect work in this setting?  Can it be set to pull the file to the local PC to view recorded material?  Also, just to be sure, would Connect work for a live virtual meeting in such a setting?

Thank you.

Re: Remote areas with poor internet - Is AC a viable solution

Connect rooms can be set to three levels of bandwidth demand. This is now a system wide setting as of Connect 9.3, though the option can be left open to the Meeting Hosts. In the Administration section of Connect, go to Administration > Compliance and Control > Share Settings and about half way down will be the option to set the room badwidth as needed. This can also be done in the Preferences section of the meeting rooms, should that be left enabled.

The recorded meeting will have the same bandwidth demand as the live session, so keep that in mind if you want to accomodate low bandwidth users for either option. There is also the ability to make an FLV version (free but can be tricky to get a quality recording) or a MP4 version (not free, but simpler) if you want to have a 'video' version of the recording that can be downloaded and viewed off-line.
