Hauppauge USB Live-2 and Adobe Connect

Hi all,

I have a nice Hauppauge USB Live-2

http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/site/product … live2.html

that I'm currently trying to get working with Adobe Connect. It sees the device, allows me to select it as an input, allows me to switch it on and off, but shows nothing when it appears, I still get the little outline person on the screen.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this, or has anyone managed to get this device to work. I see other Haupauge devices working well with Connect! Is there a minimum FPS for this to work? This unit only outputs 30FPS

Thanks

Do you have Skype running in the background? If so, quit it and restart your meeting.

Nope, nothing running in the background. Checked all the processes running in the background too, and nothing Skype/MSN/Messenger related running :(

Re: Hauppauge USB Live-2 and Adobe Connect

Connect 8 is limited to 20 fps maximum and 640x400 resolution (VGA) so make sure the camera is not exceeding that limit. I suspect that is your issue. If you can not change the output there are third party virtual camera options that take your higher resolution and convert it to lower so it will work properly.

See this site as a way to take a HD camera, spilt the video and feed a new feed using your own settings:

Re: Hauppauge USB Live-2 and Adobe Connect

Thanks for this info, I suspect you are correct!

Is there any other alternative freeware program to do the same? I've tried this and vMix2011, but they are both a little clunky...

You may also want to look at the DVDriver software. I have had situations where this software solved the problem, and it is pretty affordable.
