simple procedure: I have my .pptx and a bunch of .flv that I would like to import to the sidebar.

Each time when I click on the "import"-button it takes bl**dy ages until the file dialog opens:

45 Seconds!!!

What is causing this delay and how can I prevent it? I cannot invest half an hour just to wait for the file dialog to open...

The presentation is stored locally, I'm using Win XP and Power Point 2007. The presentation consists of 24 slides with only a few and simple animations, in total about 12 MB.

It's not restricted to this presentation, others behave similarly. I also notice a delay for other dialogs until they open, but not as bad as the video-import dialog.
