Videos in Curricula

Hello,

I currently have a curriculum I have created that has 20 videos, followed by short quizes. I have made both the videos and the quizes required within the curriculum. However, it has come to my attention that it is possible to stop the video before finishing it, only for the system to show the learner has completed the video. The system clearly recognizes they have not actually finished the video, as it knows where they stopped in the video. The person who brought this to my attention discovered this because the video they were watching froze up, so she had to back out and come back in. When she came back into the video, it would only allow her to scrub through the timeline up to where she left off. She was able to play the video through after that.

Is there a way to make sure the that the video comes to completion before allowing the learner to advance to the next lesson?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: Videos in Curricula

Ben,

It's not just Connect that marks videos complete upon launch. That's why I built a Media Player for LMSs (example: https://envolvemedia.adobeconnect.com/p9s8xd53vr09). It is used to:

- Prevent scrubbing through areas of the video not seen (unless completed)
- Marks completion based on some value
- Can include subtitles
- Supports resume
- ...
