7.5 Upgrade Schedule

Repost of Jody from Adobe's note on schedule for 7.5 upgrades: view original

>>>>>>>>

To ensure maximum system stability and reduce deployment risk, we are deploying Acrobat Connect Pro 7.5 in a phased approach over several months.  Final dates will be confirmed 2 weeks in advance of the upgrade.  However, we recognize that there is significant interest in hearing from us about the planned schedule.  So, without further ado...

Here is the current estimated timeline for upgrades to Connect Pro 7.5 across our different domains.  This schedule is subject to change. We will send the primary administrator on your account an email notification 2 weeks in advance of the upgrade to confirm their upgrade date.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.acrobat.com", you have already been upgraded.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.na4.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is December 5, 2009.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.na3.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is December 11, 2009.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.na5.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is January 15, 2010.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.na6.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is January 23, 2010.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.emea.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is February 12, 2010.

If your domain name reads like "account_name.connectpro.acrobat.com", your anticipated upgrade date is February 20, 2010.

Re: 7.5 Upgrade Schedule

Ohmygosh!  Thanks David, for reposting this information, but this is quite an unpleasant surprise.

I cannot fathom why it would take three months from the date of 7.5 being released for EMEA accounts to be upgraded.  Surely it cannot seriously take your engineers three months to run an installer application on all of your servers?  If it really does, Adobe really need to improve their internal processes!

Looks like I will have to continue to bridge conferences via Skype + software audio routing for the foreseeable future.  This takes the shine off of the 7.5 release somewhat.

Re: 7.5 Upgrade Schedule

What's even more important: When will the 7.5 package be available for download?

Re: 7.5 Upgrade Schedule

Hi Blik,

The 7.5 package is already available for on prem customers via the Adobe Licensing site:
https://licensing.adobe.com/sap%28bD1lb … /login.htm

If you have not received download info yet or don't know your password, you should contact Adobe Pro support.

Best,
David

Re: 7.5 Upgrade Schedule

Hi David,

I just checked - still nothing there.

I'll try the support again, but to be honest, it's really slooow. I already asked for these packages, but there's more than the three days until I get an answer (my current ticket is unanswered for 5 working days now). Somehow I'd expect a faster feedback for such an expensive product, but it seems I'm not the only one who makes this experience...

Regards
Blik
