How to change ppt display elements in AC after Presenter EOL

Posting this here rather than the Presenter sub because that one seems dead.

I frequently used Adobe Presenter to customize various elements of PowerPoint presentations to change the way they show up in Adobe Connect.  For example, I could change the look of the slide side-panel that shows up in Adobe Connect and disable the "comments" tab on that from showing up.  It also allowed me to change the background of the space around the actual slide box.

I'm now getting an error asking me to update flash when trying to use those features in PowerPoint...I'm guessing because Adobe Presenter is EOL.  Is there any alternative method to do these things?  Specifically, the ability to disable the Notes tab from showing up in the side panel is a big loss.
