BUG: Terminating Screenshare when reconnecting

Hello everyone,

working with the new Adobe Connect v11 we found the following bug.

If the attendees/guests are in a working group and use the feature "screenshare" to show some program (f.e. Office), this screenshare will be terminated in certain scenarios.

general situation:

breakout rooms are active – all attendees are assigned and work in the breakout rooms – in our case 40 people in 8 rooms

Bug occures when:

- 1 attendee/guest looses internet connection and after relog returns to the main meeting

- participants/guests are moved into their breakout room by the moderator/host

description of bug:

In every breakout room the screenshare is terminated.

We did run some tests to find the following workaround:

If the attendees/guests are assigned the „moderator“ status before being moved to a breakout room, running screenshares are NOT terminated.

So this bug seems to be related to the assigned roles of users.

One should therefore have the moderator status be assigned to all participants on startup, to avoid this bug. Which is impractical and limits the use of the moderator area, because everyone then has access to it.

Therefore we need a bugfix instead of this workaround. Otherwise the use of Adobe Connect is not as expected and we have to search for alternatives, which we don't want to.

Best regards.

Re: BUG: Terminating Screenshare when reconnecting

We seem to have a similar if not identical problem, so I add my case to this topic:

Hi at all,

while in breakout-session screensharing collapses (breaks, stops or however you want to name it when the current screensharing stops abruptly) whenever a new attendee with participant privileges enters the room (this happens quite often e.g. when user loses internet connection and reconnects to the running meeting and then has to be reassigned to his/her breakout room)
Our workaround is to level up all participants to presenters before we assign them to their breakout room again (e.g. by setting the option to automatically promote participants to presenters upon entry). In this case the running screenshares remain stable. But to be honest, for obvious reasons we don’t want all our users to be presenters when no breakout sessions are running (it is quite annoying when randomly users try to take a look at other slides of your presentation than the one you (try to) put your focus on.)
So, for having a controllable environment when no breakout sessions are running you have to level down all presenters to participants by hand (which is also annoying – at least until 11.2).
Another ugly side effect of that workaround is that the „host and presenter area“ cannot be hidden from presenters without doubt. see here

I’d appreciate any help on resolving this issue.
