Convert recording to MP4

I have recording which was created in 2011.
I want to convert it to MP4

But I got this error message
http://prntscr.com/wpxvht

Is it possible to convert this old recording ?

Re: Convert recording to MP4

If you can get it to launch in the App instead of your browser, then you might be able to use something like Camtasia to record it and get an MP4. But with recordings that old it may well be too late.

Not sure what else you can do. Flash is gone in browsers as of 1/12/21.

Maybe try adding the following to the end of the recording url ?proto=true&launcher=true

so it would look like https://connecturl/recording/?proto=true&launcher=true

That may invoke the app, but also feels like a long shot.

Re: Convert recording to MP4

Hello Jorma_at_CoSo

Please could you explain the root cause. Why I cannot run old recording?
I can run recording which was created in 2018
But I cannot run recording which was created in 2012 year
What difference between these two recordings ?

Thanks

Re: Convert recording to MP4

Well, the root cause is that your recording is attempting to launch in your browser using Flash and Flash is no longer a viable option for you to use in your browser. https://www.adobe.com/products/flashpla … -life.html

More modern recordings should attempt to use the Connect App, which can use the Classic (Flash) view of the meetings for now. But this will likely go away in the near future too. Did you try using the calls at the end of your recording URL?
