Pre-filtered Image Carousel by popular tag.

Question: Is there any way to have the Event Carousel follow the same tag filtering rule as the prefiltered event catalog? It doesn't make much sense to have the carousel show the "Featured Items" and not allow for multiple filters. The events however filter by tag. If you turn off the Featured Event tag on an event, then nothing shows in the carousel even though it is filtered by the popular tag. Am I the only one this doesn't make sense to? Any help here would be greatly appreciated, even.... "no its not possible!'.

I believe that no possible is the answer. The carousel in the Events Catalog only looks to the Featured Events tag.

Realistically, you would need to build your own events catalog that used the APIs to call the desired events and show their details how you want them presented.

Sadly, that is what I feared. OK. I will research the API's and if I find a solution, I will post it here. Thank you for your prompt response.
