Connection to ACTS closed by the client

Hi

We have recently installed Adobe Connect 10.8. When trying to connect to a meeting room we recieve the following information in the Webbrowser:

A connection to ws://int.ex5.acts.lmsvbs.ch/ has been closed by client.
or
Client: The connection to ws://int.ex5.acts.lmsvbs.ch/ was closed [1006]

We're trying to run everything (Connect, ACTS and Meeting) on one virtual server.

The ACTS server ist configured for http. Https will come at a later date.

Firewalls are configured to allow 80, 443 and 1935 services.

Can anyone help resolve this issue?

Many thanks
Mike

Not sure if this would help, but you can try change WS to WSS.
Basically you need to edit two files, custom.ini ant stunnel.conf
Here is the link: https://blogs.adobe.com/connectsupport/adobe-connect-10-1-switch-the-default-acts-service-protocol-from-ws-to-wss/

This also may be a matter of the Connect cluster being aware of the ACTS servers. Try going through these steps to verify that the ACTS servers are seen and active.

Re: Connection to ACTS closed by the client

Same problem here.

ACTS is seen and working properly. If it wouldn‘t be seen, the client could not establish a connection and the client wouldn‘t close the connection.
Means: Mike‘s problem can only happen if the ACTS Server is connected.

WS to WSS as an option, but then the client produces a 302 error.

IMHO this problem is caused by a IP/hostname/STunnel misconfiguration. The ACTS documentation is crap. Hard words but spending five-digit amounts for support contracts and getting no extensive documentation for administrators is crap. Nothing else.

As far as I‘m concerned, I deal with Linux, Windows and Database Servers as well as Apache, Nginx and Tomcat configurations. This is daily business for me. Having a comprehensive documentation would make problems like these easy as 1,2,3. Instead of this, we have to deal with a „Enterprise Platinum“ support which needs 72 hours to react (IF someone reacts at all).

You are right. I‘m pissed and there would be many ways to express this in much more kindly. But I‘m dealing with Adobe Connect since Breeze 5 on-premise.

Hello,

TCP port 9002 must also be open.

CPS to ACTS health check of service port TCP 8080
ACTS to CPS server for live meeting data transfer - 1935 (RTMP), 80 or other HTTP port, 443 if SSL is enabled;
Client to ACTS  TCP 9002
