Updating to 9.6
When I update to 9.6 my service/server does not functions as it should... I get the log in screen but cannot move beyond that...
Adobe support cannot find a solution please help!

Were you talking with Platinum Support? That is the group that deals with on-premise deployments.
I have seen upgrades where not all the SQL scrips get run, which could cause an issue like this. I've been able to request the scrips that needed to be run between the old and new version of Connect and that seems to work well. May be worth requesting from support and seeing if that resolves the issue.
