Chat Timestamp

Hi Everyone,

We have an on premise installation. I'm trying to use the timestamps on the chat pods, but they always show in MM/DD/YYYY

I've checked the server regional settings and my Adobe Connect profile timezone.

I've also edited the lang/en.xml file and changed the following to

<!-- date format -->
  <m id="date-format">{3}/{2}/{1}</m> <!-- day/month/year -->
  <m id="java-date-format-short">dd/mm/yy</m> <!-- day/month/year -->
  <m id="java-date-format">EEEEE d MMMMM</m>
  <m id="java-date-time-format">EEEEE d MMMMM, hh:mm a</m>
  <m id="java-date-year-time-format">EEEEE d MMMMM yyyy, hh:mm a</m>
  <m id="java-time-format">hh:mm a</m>

The rest of the system is correctly displaying DD/MM/YYYY, only the timestamps are incorrect.

Any ideas please?

Thanks
Andrew

Re: Chat Timestamp

I'm aware that I posted this ages ago, but I thought I'd add an update for anyone with the same issue.

So, long story short, The chat pod timestamp settings are not working properly.

Adobe Support has replicated the issue and added it to the bug fix list for the next patch/version.

Till then we are sadly stuck with MM/DD/YYYY

Not a good result for an international marketed product, but there we go.....

Re: Chat Timestamp

Andrew,

Thanks for the update! I see that the release notes for 9.5.4 are out and don't mention this. Do you know if it will be version after 9.5.4? Just figure it's good to know when the fix is coming.

Re: Chat Timestamp

Hi Jorma,

Sorry, Adobe Support were unable to give me a timeframe. I'm hoping next week, but..... :-)

Re: Chat Timestamp

Also, I should highlight the actual files to change this setting are -

\appserv\common\meeting\lang\breezelivestrings-en.xml
\appserv\common\meetingAS3\lang\breezelivestrings-en.xml

<!-- date format needed for chat timestamp -->
    <m id="dateFormat">dd/mm/yyyy</m>

This should make the change, but doesn't.

Re: Chat Timestamp

This is getting beyond a joke. It's been over 2 months and 9.5.5 patch has been released. Still no mention of this issue.

Sigh....I will raise it again with support....
