Is it possible to play video that is embedded in a powerpoint presentation in a connect meeting room?

I believe it is only possible if you use Presenter to embed the video. If you used the Insert Media function of PPT the link to the video doesn't translate in the conversion to Flash.

I think there are also significant limitations in terms of the size of the file and bandwidth and speed of connection. Definitely test thoroughly before relying on it.

Do you need to keep the video in the PPT?
You could have a layout that will hold the video itself in a separate share pod. Then simply transition into it when it is time to watch it.
If you keep the slide deck itself on the stage in a different share pod, then you won't have to wait for the deck to reload once you go back into your presentation layout.
