Upgrading from 8.2.0.0 to 9.0.4

We're in the process of finalizing our migration from 8.2.0.0 to 9.0.4 for our on-site Adobe Connect cluster installation. In our test environment, we haven't identified any issues in this migration path and appears to work properly. Are there any recommendations as part of this migration?

We'll be adding the voice dial-in option to our installation as part of the migration but haven't had much luck getting the events to install properly in the upgrade path and documentation is missing for some values relating to events and dial-in options. Looking forward to any recommendations or suggestions.

Thanks much! (Posting from Adobe MAX)

Hey Adam,

I hope MAX is going well.

I believe it should be a straight upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0.4, but I'm confirming that with the technical team.

Which values are you looking for related to events and dial-in options?

thanks,
Alistair

Hi Alistair -

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I am working with Technical Support since CQ turned out to be a larger install process with multiple NIC requirements and landscape changes. Thank you, again, for any guidance. I'm sure that others that use the forums for on-site administration will greatly appreciate any advise as well! I know it's been said before, but these forums are amazingly helpful.

The CQ install is a mystery.  Kudos to any on-premise installs that can do it on the first shot (must've installed it 10 times and still cannot get it working right).  On a number of install windows, the options seem redundant (publisher, author, author, publisher).  Better documentation is definitely required.
