Disable automatic logout after 24 hours

Is it possible to disable the automatic logout after 24 hours?
Can this be done for special users only?

would it be an option to poll the server programmatically through xml APIs?

If no other easy solution helps for it - yes.
Background is I usually have a brwoser open at "Meeting Reports" page.

I believe the default session time is 18 hours, and is not available as a configuration parameter.  Configurable timeouts has been asked for by other customers, but I don't know when it may show up in the product (as a config or API setting).
