Attendee queue in event registration?

Let's say I have an event with 100 attendees as a limit. The interest is good and 100 people register for the event. So it is full. Then 10 registered attendees cancel. Then some attendees in a line-up would be good to have so they can take the empty seats.

I know there is no queue/line-up in Events but is there any work-around?

Best practice is to leave a buffer in the registration limit. Depending on your audience and their expected attendance, you may need a 10-25% buffer to allow for those who register and don't attend.

So if you wanted to account for 10 people not showing up, make the registration limit 110.
