Event manager w/ new Seminar room guidelines-static URL address issue

One of the benefits of using Seminar rooms is that you can schedule sessions and use the same URL for each session if you say have a seminar that reoccurs every month.  BUT as far as I can tell in order to get a registration page for each seminar so you can collect data on who is attending you have to go through event manager and you have to have a different URL for each session of your seminar and the URL has to be different than your seminar room URL....is this correct or am I confused and is there a way to have the same URL but make people register for your seminar still?
