Disabling Password Field for webinar registrations

My company used Adobe Connect for webinars- we would like to figure out a way to disable the mandatory Password setting option when registrations sign up for a webinar- is there a way to do this?

Re: Disabling Password Field for webinar registrations

Hi Hanover,

Yes - this option was introduced with Adobe Connect 9.

You should see a checkbox (off by default) when creating your event that enables you to turn off the required password field.

Note - that without requiring a password, it's not possible to track attendees over multiple events.

Re: Disabling Password Field for webinar registrations

Thank you- we are operating on Adobe Connect 9. The issue I'm seeing is that the checkboxes are automatically checked and are grayed out so that I cannot click on them. Would you be able to instruct me as to how I can make those checkboxes active so that I can turn off the password setting?

Yes- and it's grayed out so I can't do anything about it. Do you know how I can resolve this?

Re: Disabling Password Field for webinar registrations

Hi Hanover,

On which screen is it grayed out?

There should be an option on the very first event setup screen to turn this off. If that checkbox isn't turned on, then the 'Password' field will be grayed out on the registration questions screen.

Which screen are you looking at when you say it's grayed out?

Thanks,
Alistair

To clarify, are you seeing this option grayed out:

event registration questions

Or this option:

register without password
