Connect Enterprise - storage device via samba

Hi there,

I want to configure my enterprise server to a storage device that runs
linux. The connection should be made via samba server.

Has someone experience with this?

In theory, this should work given its simply a mapped drive, but whether it adequately scales is a different question.  Connect tends to be pretty disk-intensive for tasks like archive recordings.  Many customers are successfully using SAN implementations (including our company) with a fiber channel and very fast drive configurations.
