Presenter will not import WMA audio files from PPTX

Hi I am  having difficulty importing audio files that are in PPTX to presenter. When I click on the import button and get the import box, it doesn't allow me to import from presentation. I have to save the pptx file to zip, and then extract the .wma files, then convert them to mp3 or wav files.  Then I have to go back into the pptx then select each file separately if there are more than 10 files.

Is there an easier way? Can you convert in powerpoint so all the audio is recorded in mp3 or wav?

Re: Presenter will not import WMA audio files from PPTX

Hello,

Presenter 8 only import .mp3 & .wav files.

Converting .ppt into .zip is the only way to export a media from Powerpoint.

Thanks,
Vikram

Also, as good trick. If the audio files are named sequentially, meaning that the audio file for slide one is first and they are listed in order after that, then you can select slide one to import audio into Presenter. Browse to your audio files and then select them all. They will all be brought into Presenter, in the same order they are shown in your import file search.
