Streaming functionality for Presenter presentations

We use Adobe Presenter together with Connect Server especially to have videos streamed in presenter presentations.
Is there another streaming solution that can be used apart from AC? Any possibility to do this with FMS?

Re: Streaming functionality for Presenter presentations

Are you looking to have the media streamed, or the media streamed in Presenter?

The AMS (Previously FMS) server is a streaming media server, and will deliver videos. However, it may be more difficult to get a Presenter Presentation to stream over an AMS server. I'll play with it and let you know.

Re: Streaming functionality for Presenter presentations

Well, if you are using AMS to stream presenter, then the video files would reside on the AMS server (or it's content storage server), so you should consider that as streaming from the media server. However if you were wanting to host the Presenter presentation on a Connect server and have the video stream from an AMS server, then you would put a SWF file in Presenter that called to the FLV on the AMS server.

So, it could be done, but it may take some dev work.

However, Captivate does allow you to call to media from an external server or service, so that may be an easier solution if you have Captivate.
