Connecting to Mobile Connect via a Proxy

Adobe Connect Mobile works fine for us and is a great tool for the iPad or the Playbook. I use the latest 1.5 version on both devices.
One thing that's unfortunate currently is that it does not seem possible to connect via a proxy connection which in Corporate Environments are often the only way to connect to the Internet from within an office location.
Is there a way to make the app understand how to connect through a proxy? Technically http and https requests should be routed through the proxy just fine, but possibly something needs to be done in the app to account for that?
