Student remains on report

Why does a student remain on the Curriculum Report after i remove them from the curriculum? I have reset their status and it continues to list as "in progress"

The report for the student it going to be persistent. Meaning, that if you remove a student from the list of enrolled students, their interactions remain, as most people want to maintain a record of everyone who has taken the course, even if they are no longer with that organization.
