How to combine 2 or more exisiting presentation files

I am trying to create a new "bundled" presentation from 4 existing presentations.  When I copy the slides from the second file into the first, the recordings are not coming with the copy.

Instead, the recordings from the corresponding slide in the first presentation are associated with the second presentations slides.  I.e., the recording that goes with slide 2 in the first presentation is now also playing with what was slide 2 of the second presentation and so on.

I have tried to copy and paste using windows ctrl-c, ctrl-v as well as the \Insert\Reuse Slides function in the powerpoint menu.  The result is the same.

Is there a way to combine the presentations that include the recordings from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th files?

I am using Powerpoint 2010 and Presenter 10.

I would try creating a new PPTX file and then importing the slides (copy/paste should work) in order to that presentation.
