There are a number of reasons we're seeing more marketing organizations turn to webinars for lead generation. The two biggest advantages of moving your event online are cost and the ability to reach a larger, more geographically diverse audience compared to in-person events.
Moving an event online though makes it more difficult for a speaker to really engage with his or her audience. It places a bigger requirement on the event organizer to leverage rich media and provide interaction during the event to ensure the audience is constantly connected and engaged.
