Connect Pro Mobile for iPhone

Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro Mobile can now be downloaded from the iTunes store.  You can download it from Apple's app store here:  http://itunes.com/apps/AdobeAcrobatConnectProMobile

With this release, Connect Pro Mobile offers users mobile access via an iPhone or iPod touch to rich communications including collaborative meetings, training sessions and Web seminars. Connect Pro Mobile was built using a pre-relesase version of Flash and was published as a native iPhone application. In fact, it's the first publicly available Adobe-authored application that uses this technology.

Plus, because Connect Pro Mobile was created using Flash, we will also be able to use the same code to deliver this application on AIR. So when we release AIR to other devices, this means that Connect Pro Mobile will be available on other mobile devices as well. In fact, last week at Mobile World Congress, we demo’d Connect Pro on a number of devices, including Android.

With Connect Pro Mobile, participants can watch and listen to live presentations including real-time meeting webcam video and screen sharing demonstrations. Mobile users can see who is in the meeting at any given time, and collaborate with others using live text chat. VoIP meeting audio will broadcast straight to iPhone or iPod touch devices over a WiFi or 3G connection. Meeting hosts also have the ability to give participants the option to join a telephone conference call, and even opt to have the conference dial out to the mobile user, eliminating the need to enter complex dialing codes.

Hi, nica app but can not reach the meeeting room.
I get Network Error when trying to reach as registered member or I get "The Entered Room Does Not Exist" error when trying to reach as guest.

I checked my iPhone has internet connectivity and room exists.

Best,

doesn't work with our implementation either (we're 7.5) - same errors

also tried connectnow.acrobat.com and get "cannot connect to meeting server"

would suggest (when this finally works) that it gets some address/bookmarking feature so that I do not need to type in all those long adobe connect urls again and again

figure it out. the mobile app doesn't understand the compliance notice step (where you have to say OK). once I disabled that (in test), then i could log in as a guest user.

Tried it today with a MarketingProfs webinar.

Some slides were missing information, mostly text not graphics. Slides seem to download fast enough though.

When presenter shared the screen I was not able to see it. Using WiFi on an iPhone 3Gs.

Chat was OK though sluggish.

Must use large graphics with few details. It was hard to see details on the small iPhone screen though it should be fantastic on the iPad.

alexphil - you can pinch to zoom using multi-touch gestures to get a better view of the content. Also remember to use full-screen mode when looking at PPT slides or a screenshare

Just tried this for the first time today... I used a WiFi connection and it worked great!

I particularly like the pinch/zoom support for seeing the detail of the presenter's screen. The rotation/landscape support is also nice.

I agree with iangoh (below) - some sort of a URL bookmarking or Recent Meetings feature would be helpful.

Also, I wished it had some kind of a "Sign Out" or "Leave Meeting" button.

Nice work!

i found that sometimes when the compliance notice is not checked but i still could not login to the meeting but if i enter the meeting room with https:// into the enter meeting URL field, that seems to work.

With the compliance off I can login into the meeting room. And its very good. This will be deal breaker. I'm connected over 3G and very promising.

Great start. Granted, it has some limitations at the moment but it's version 1.0.
Also encouraging to see something Flash-based on an iPhone/iPod touch. Does this mean we might see Flash in other apps? or Safari???
Like the demo and docs, Alistair. Thanks.

It works OK if you turn off the compliance notice on the server. (I have tested it before and after)

I really miss the option to be able to use mic and camera on the iPhone.

It is quite CPU intensive.

Very gut product!!!

It would be nice to be able to use Skype to connect to the voice component and still be able to use the App to see the meeting. That doesn't seem possible for me on my iPod Touch.

We are using a front end app to single sign on users so it would be nice if one didn't have to directly connect to the connect server first, but be redirected to it. .. e.g. function a bit like a web browser and have this app be a helper app.

I agree with the comment about being able to use in conjunction with skype. While connect pro is great the lack of multi tasking on the iphone is a drawback.
