Please note: The download link has been updated with a new version of the Import Utility.
With the introduction of the Universal Voice feature in Connect Pro 7.5, the ability for account administrators to bulk-create users along with their integrated telephony information through the CSV import feature. Customers who use integrated telephony from Adobe partners like PGi, Intercall, MeetingOne & Avaya may be looking to add this functionality back to their Connect Pro solution.
Greg has created an AIR application that allows an account administrator to very quickly add a batch of users through a CSV (comma separated values) file while associating those users. Please note that this isn't an official supported application from Adobe.
Download the Connect Pro Batch User Import Utility
To install the app, save the AIR file to your desktop and double click it from Windows Explorer. If the AIR runtime isn’t already on your system it will automatically download it from adobe.com and install it (with your permission ofcourse).
The app creates Connect Audio Profiles by reading user and telephony information from a CSV file. Click the “Help” button in the app for more information.
Example:
If you want to create 850 Audio Profiles for existing Connect users, please follow this process.
A] Configure an Audio Provider and Audio Profile and make sure they both work properly.
- In Connect Central,
- Configure an Audio Provider for the telephony conferencing system of your choice.
- Configure an Audio Profile based on the new Audio Provider
- Create a new meeting room
- Associate the new Audio Profile with the new meeting room
- Connect/enter the new meeting room as a Host
- As a Host in the new Connect Meeting Room
- Connect the room to the audio conference
- Using another computer enter the room as a guest and make sure your computer speakers are on.
- Using your phone, connect to the audio conference as a moderator
- Speak into your phone and make sure you can hear yourself from the computer speakers (of the guest machine).
B] Once you’ve confirmed your Audio Provider and Audio Profile are working properly (by completing step A) you can create Audio Profiles for the 850 users by using the ConnectBatchUtility app.
1. Your Audio Provider will have at least one “action” that has a “Key/Number” value of “Defined by Host”. Each of these actions need to have a column in the CSV file. The CSV file headers must be the same as the Audio Provider action labels. For example: if your Audio Profile has an action with a Key/Number set to “Defined by Host” and it’s “Label” is “Meeting ID” you need to create a column in the CSV file called "Meeting ID"

2. The first column in the CSV file is the Connect Pro login for each user
3. The CSV file for this example configuration will be as follows. If you don't set up the column headers correctly, the application will detect it and tell you how the column headers should be configured.

4. Once the CSV file has been created, you can use the ConnectBatchUtility AIR application. You should
- Enter your Connect Pro Administrator credentials
- Enter the name of the Audio Profiles you would like to create (i.e. Example Profile)
- Select the Audio Provider on which you want to base the Audio Profiles (i.e. myPremiere)
- Browse for the CSV file that has the user and conference information (i.e. user.csv)

5. Click the "Run" button to begin the process. It may take some time to create an Audio Profile for each user in the CSV file - approximately 1 second per user. Please be patient; you will see a dialog box when the process is complete.

HiThanks for writing the AIR based application.
Does it work with integrated audio conference adapters as well as universal voice (admin created) created ones?
I ask because we use InterCall (Integrated adapter), and when I run your utility, I can connect to my adobe acrobat hosted domain, but, no audio profiles are shown in the drop down list "....tht are based upon a this audiop provider".
I have a working config for intercall but not via universal voice.
