One feature that often goes overlooked is the Send Link feature which allows you to send someone a URL to a piece of content hosted in the Content Library and in turn, receive an email notification when that user has viewed the content.
The feature works by generating a unique URL for each email recipient and does not require them to login to view, but unlike making the content public, using the Send Link feature provides you with instant feedback once a user has clicked to view the content via the provided URL. This can be great in selling situations when you want to get in touch with someone who has viewed an overview presentation, self-running demo, or data sheet that you have sent out using the Send Link feature.
This feature works with any type of content that can be uploaded to the Content Library including PowerPoint (PPT, PPTX), Presenter Presentations, Captivate Content, PDFs, Flash Video (FLV) and a few other content types. You can even send links to meeting Recordings that have been moved to the Content Library and get instant feedback when a user has viewed it.
