The Adobe Connect Academic User Group (ACAUG) is made up of individuals from higher-education organizations who come together on the 3rd Friday of each month to get more out of Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional. We help each other by sharing experience and expertise. Our meetings are open to any individuals in higher education.

Our speaker line-up includes Terry Shane of Refined Data, who will be joining us to demonstrate one of their latest offerings, Fast Track, their in-meeting tracking tool. ACAUG Members, The third Friday of the month is nearly upon us once again, and you know what that means... time for our next Adobe Connect Academic Users Group meeting! It will be at our usual place online: http://adobechats.adobe.acrobat.com/acaug The meeting will start at 1 pm U.S.Eastern (GMT -4), and run about one hour. Thanks to several fantastic individuals who responded to our recent plea for presenters, it looks like we have two lined up for this meeting, plus several others for future meetings. For Friday, we have a frequent and favorite past presenter, Terry Shane of Refined Data, to talk about their Talking Stick product and Robert Gibson, Ed.D. Associate CIO - Academic and User Services Emporia State University, will speak about his school's integration of Connect into Blackboard. And we still would love to hear from anybody else interested in presenting in the future, or just have topic suggestions. Greetings, fellow ACAUG members! It's time to shake the beach sand out of your shoes and join us for the September ACAUG meeting. We are scheduled to meet this Friday, but unfortunately, as yet still do not have any speakers lined up. We can, of course, always just have an open floor meeting, but hoped to highlight a topic or two for more in-depth presentations like we usually have in the past. We'll also hear a presentation by Terry Shane from Refined Data about their Footprints add-in for Adobe Connect Pro. Terry writes at the forum: "The Footprints add-in for Adobe Connect Pro allows any organization to track its Carbon Savings as well as the financial and travel mileage that has been eliminated through the use of online technology." Welcome back all! We are geared up and good to go for our September meeting this Friday, but we don't have an agenda per se as of now. If nothing else, I plan on doing a review of a rival product to Adobe Connect, called Wimba. Perhaps you heard of it. I certainly have, and have a tale to tell about why I've learned so much about it! If you have something you'd like to talk about, speak up now, or wait for October. Hi all, Well, it's that time again! Join us Friday, February 15th at 1pm Eastern for our next ACAUG meeting. There's a tentative demonstration scheduled, but since it is tentative, I'll save the details for now, and post a note in the Forum at Connectusers.com area if we get a confirmation.
