Supported Language identifiers

We just resolved a problem that stemmed from the API documentation being wrong, so I thought I'd post here so others might benefit:

The problem we initially had was that certain users could not upload powerpoint files, they always got an error.  We got them to upload from different computers/networks and to upload different powerpoint files, even a single white slide with the word "test" on it... they always got the error.  Other users could upload the same files from the same computer just fine.  After being in contact with several layers of support, we finally found out that this user had an unsupported language set in their profile: "pt".

The documentation says that the "lang" preference can be "a two-letter or three-letter code describing a language according to the ISO 639 specifications."

But it turns out that's not quite right, as Portuguese and Chinese require the strings "pt-br" and "zh-cn".

So, if you are setting user language with the API, make sure you take this into account or strange things might happen :)
