Adobe Connect plugin failure in Mac 10.9.4

Have experienced intermittent plugin failures in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome. All on same machine. Any suggestions? Have read about in process/out of process Flash issues in prior versions.  Also "sandboxing" and security enhancements to earlier Safari causing probs. Anything recent  ? Is there a good guide to "all" sources of this problem and how to troubleshoot?

Same experience here.

One host told me that the plugin crashes if he tries to adjust the volume on his Mac with the desired keyboard shortcut.

Re: Adobe Connect plugin failure in Mac 10.9.4

I have confirmed on multiple machines that having Flash Plugin 15.0.0.152 on a mac will crash if you try to adjust the volume. This is on both 10.8.5 and 10.9.5. Safari, Chrome and Firefox are all affected. Downgrading to flash 14.0.0.176 and volume adjustments works fine with no crash.

You can append ?launcher=false after your room url to test if you have the Adobe Connect plugin installed.

DaveC,

Thanks for the heads up on that issue with Flash. I have confirmed that this is a known issue with bug #3827641, and is slated to be resolved with the release of Flash Player 15.0.0.188.

As to the launcher=false call, it just tells Connect to not look for the add-in. I'm not sure how it tests that you have it. A better way to test would be to use the Test Your Meeting Connection page. For my server it is http://realeyesconnect.adobeconnect.com … _test.htm, but you can subsitute your own server URL if you want. Step 4 on this page tests for the add-in and gives the option to install it if it is not installed.
