Licence for Training

RESOLVED

Hi Everyone!

A client wants to purchase a Connect  Training module to offer online classes.

Now, the client says he wants to be able to deliver his trainings to 200 or 2000 users, according to the number of students that register for the courses (actually he wanted an "unlimited" licence, but I know this is not possible).

Now, I still do not know how this module work so I´m hoping you can help me.  :)

1. Does the Training module allow live online classes?

2. How many concurrent users does a licence cover?

3. What about on demand content? Same number of concurrent users apply?

Important: here in Brazil we do not have the hosted option.

Thank you very much for any information!  :)

BR,

Marcos

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Marcos,

1. Yes, Through a tool called a virtual classroom.

2. 1 license covers 1 concurrent learner.

3. Yes, a concurrent learner is someone accessing something withing the Training Module. Course, Curricula, or Virtual Classroom all use the same license.

Re: Licence for Training

I"m new to connect so if I were using connect with captivate for on line classes I'd need a separate license for each student?  I really hope I'm understanding this wrong.

Re: Licence for Training

Susan,

The concurrent learner license is a "first come, first serve" license. If you have 10 concurrent learner licenses, then you can have 10 individuals accessing training objects at any given time. You may have 1,000,000 students, but they would obviously have to be scheduled to fit everyone through the 10 concurrent.

So no you don't need a license for ever student.
