Hide/remove dial-out option for audio bridge meeting
RESOLVED
We have a hosted account with PGI (Premier) audio bridge, and every time we have a teleconference, the dial-out window pops-up on the participants' screen and confuses them.
Is there a possibility to disable this option altogether? Participants are trying to call themselves while they are already connected on the phone, and it causes endless problems.
We would of course like to keep the telephone bridge option, just disable the dial-out feature in ACP.
This has also been discussed on another post but I could not see a solution so far http://www.connectusers.com/forums/cucb … hp?id=2567

Re: Hide/remove dial-out option for audio bridge meeting
You could link the room to your PGI bridge through the new Universal voice tool. Then your participants would have the option to dial into the bridge and listen to the audio or they could just put their headphones on and listen through their computer. With it hooked into the room this way, there will not be a dial-out prompt.

Thanks Jorma, but won't using universal voice lead to losing some functionality of the integrated audio?
Are they exactly the same?
I thought there were some added benefits to the integration, no? Do you perhaps know the difference between the two options?

Re: Hide/remove dial-out option for audio bridge meeting
ACCEPTED SOLUTION
You will lose some of the integration functionality, for example the ability to mute and un-mute individuals, the who's speaking icons, and the dial out functionality with the Universal Voice tool.
It all comes down to which option provides the greatest benefit for your use.
The direct integration with the telephony provider allows you to control the conference bridge from within the room, without using star commands or pass codes. When using this option I don't include my conference bridge information on the invite, so that participants will join the room first, and then dial in (or have the conf bridge call them). This solves the confusion issue for most people and saves me the time in associating unknown dial ins to specific individuals.
The Universal Voice integration allows you to use any SIP conference bridge (which is most of them at this point) and the room can call in and listen to the desired conf bridge and re-broadcast the audio to everyone in the room via VoIP. There are no conference controls as Connect is just listening.

Re: Hide/remove dial-out option for audio bridge meeting
Thanks for the answer Jorma - it helped us a lot in understanding what's going on.
I still think it will be useful to restrict dial-out options - it makes a lot of sense as international dial-out is very expensive, and for European companies it is a 'must' feature.
How would we go about suggesting this to Adobe as a requested feature? Is this forum enough?

I would post it in the Suggestions for Connect forums as well.
Glad I could help clarify things a little.
